ABOUT
Dr. Alejandro Miravete Gálvez is a medical surgeon graduated from Anahuac University, he did his Specialty at the ABC Medical Center and the Subspecialty at the General Hospital of Athens, Greece (KAT) with a grant from the European Federation of Orthopedics (EFORT) in Articular Reconstruction of Hip and Knee under the tutelage of Doctor Geroge Macheras.

During this period, he performed nearly 500 surgeries under the “Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgery” (AMIS) technique, a procedure that is at the forefront in Europe and the United States for the placement of hip prostheses. Part of his training was carried out at the ICATME Clinic in Barcelona under the tutelage of Doctor Manel Ribas, internationally recognized as one of the best hip surgeons.

Both the KAT General and ICATME are two of the most prestigious centers in this type of procedure worldwide.

WHAT IS THE AMIS TECHNIQUE?
AMIS (Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgery)
Anterior Minimally Invasive Surgery (AMIS) causes less surgical trauma than other techniques because the muscles are not cut, which aids in quick recovery. AMIS can potentially provide you with the following benefits:
- Decrease in postoperative pain
- Short stay in the hospital
- Faster rehabilitation
- Small scar
With AMIS, the skin incision is usually shorter than with "conventional" surgery, and therefore scar tissue is reduced by 6–7 cm.
